The New Chief Imam of Ebira land Sheik Salihu Muhammed Abere

CHIEF IMAM OF EBIRA LAND

Sheik Salihu Muhammed Abere, was born into Abere's family on 1st may 1956, went to I.N.A (IGBARA NATIVE AUTHORITY) Centeral School Okene between 1964 to 1970 and graduated at Arabic School under Sheik Ahamad Rufai Okene, between 1972 and 1977 he went to Instituted of Arabic and Islamic School Lokoja under the leadership of Sheik Yusuf Abdullahi Alokoji and graduated as an (ARABIST).

After that, he was employed as an Arabic Teacher in December 1977. Between 1980 and 1984 he became an Arabic Master at Etahi Community Secondary School Okene, Kogi State then Kwara State. He was later transfered from Etahi Community Secondary School to Comprehensive High School Eganyi still in Kogi State. He was moved to L.G.E.A Office as D.S.S (Divisional School Services) in 1988 to 1997 as Recording Officer Under Examination Section and retired in 2012 at the compulsory age of selfless to her mother land. 
In the year 2003 he was appointed Acting Naibe (Deputy Chief Imam of Ebira land) after the death of former Naibe in person of, Late Alhaji Abdulrahaman Aliu, who died in year 2003, the following day which was Friday, the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, His Royal Majesty Alhaji, Dr. Ado Ibrahim confirmed him as the Deputy Cheif Imam to replaced late Alhaji Abdulrahaman Aliyu former Naibi. He remained Deputy Naibi up till 21st of April, 2019 when the Chief Imam of Ebira Alhaji Musa Abdullahi Galadima died after a long reign as Chief Imam with peace in Ebira, may his soul rest in Arjanatul Firdaus Amin.

Following the death of later Musa Abdullahi Galadima On 21 April, 2019, His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello the Executive Governor of Kogi State, approved his apointment as Acting Cheif Imam of Ebiraland. He was later confirmed as Chief Imam of Ebira land on 7th Jully, 2019 by the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland his Royal Majesty Alhaji Ado Ibrahim.  

On 17th March, 2020, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, his Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, approved the appointment as Chief Imam of Ebira land to over sees the General Central Mosque Okene earlier Confirmed by the Ohinoyi of Ebira His Royal Majesty Alhaji Ado Ibrahim.

The event was witnessed by many prominent Ebira sons and daughters and many other love of Ebira people were all in attendance, Electronic Media and Others Media were not left out because NTA network and AIT was their on live coverage.

May Almighty Allah in His infinite Mercy continue to guide him and give him long life and prosperity to continue maintain the peace that reign in the land and beyond Amin

He is blessed with wives and children.
