They seized the FRCN radio station, various military posts around Lagos and the Dodan Barracks, Lagos, the military headquarters and presidential residence. Lt. Col UK Bello, the man who Sacrifices his life for IBB Lt. Col Usman Kankada Bello, a very loyal ADC to General Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida (IBB). He was a colleague to most of the Coup plotters of 1990 especially Orka. By the time the coupists entered Dodan Barracks and UK Bello confronted them, he didn't know that the Presidential House has already been deactivated.... IBB later escaped via an underground route
