Image
Nigeria women are indeed great people. There are some Nigeria women who cannot be forgotten in the history of Nigeria. Here are some brave female warriors in Nigeria history: 1. Queen Amina (c.1533-1610) Queen Amina of Zaria  Queen Amina of Zaria was the first woman to become the Sarauniya (queen) in a male-dominated society. She expanded the territory of the Hausa people of north Africa to its largest borders in history. Much of what is known of Queen Amina is based on information related in the Kano Chronicles. Other details are pulled from the oral traditions of Nigeria. Queen Amin of Zaria  As a result, the memory of Queen Amina has assumed legendary proportions in her native Hausaland and beyond. The modern state of Nigeria has immortalized Amina by erecting a statue of her, spear in hand, on a horse, in the centre of Lagos. The seven original states of Hausaland—Katsina, Daura, Kano, Zazzau, Gobir, Rano and Garun Gabas—cover an area of approximate...

He said there was an important book that the students were required to read but it was not available in the library. It was only one student in the school that had the book and he rarely lent it to anyone. According to Sodangi, Moulana Sheikh Amin had a chance meeting with this student one day and pleaded to have a glance at the book which the boy obliged. How to Notice the Authentic Sign of Laylatul Qudr (Best Night)

Image
The night of decree (Laylatul-Qadr) was mentioned in the Quran in chapter 97:1-5 Indeed, We sent the Quran down during the Night of Decree. And what can make you know what is the Night of Decree? The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months. The angels and the Spirit descend therein by permission of their Lord for every matter. Peace it is until the emergence of dawn. So we know that this night is better than a thousand months. What does that really mean? That means that any act of worship that you’re doing that night, it is as though you had been doing that act of worship a thousand months. For example if you make du’a during that night it’s as though you made that supplication for a thousand months! This is why a lot of Muslims stay up very late at night during the last 10 nights of Ramadan and try to seek this night so that they can have that kind of reward. Some of the things Muslims do during that night is they: – Recite the Quran because the Quran was sent...

The Brave Army General Nigeria Ever had. Late General Tunde Idiagbon

Image
General Tunde Idiagbon   For his uncompromising stance against indiscipline, incorrigible fight against corruption and dying at a relatively young age under a most mysterious circumstance, Major General BABATUNDE ABDULBAKI ‘Tunde’ IDIAGBON has become a legend of sorts and some will say, a martyr and true hero. But who was this stern-looking, Ilorin-born General many said never smiled? Was it true he never smiled? No. He did smile. But why was he feared that much? A lot of Nigerians hate him because he wanted them to be more responsible, more disciplined and more useful. Many soldiers were totally terrified of him. Some others were so petrified at his mere presence that even Babangida, Abacha and his fellow coup plotters could not execute a coup with Idiagbon on Nigerian soil. They had to wait for him to leave the country. Idiagbon was too disciplined, too straight and too honest for corrupt individuals. Today, the society has gone to the do...
