WHERE IS JUSTICE?, WHERE IS ONE NORTH?, WHERE IS ONE NIGERIA?
Renounce Prof Adam Okene Ahmed Abere

I have had cause to argue with some people that Nigeria is not for all citizens but recent development in our prestigious military institution; Nigerian Defence Academy (N.D.A) is making me to think twice. If professor of international repute; Professor Adams Abere of History and diplomatic studies in the revered institution who contested for the position of Provost and appointed as the acting Provost( ???) could be so casually disposed and replaced with someone who never participated in the selection exercise, then one wonders the kind of country we are yearning to realise our collective destiny. I began to smell a rat when he was appointed on acting capacity. A society that thrives and condones injustice, is a society that is doomed to fail. This ugly development in the nation's military
Alh. Shuaib Akaaba on Courtsey visit to Prof Adam Okene Ahmed Abere Provost NDA Kaduna

[12/08 12:58] Musa uninabuja: ivory tower has thrown again to the front burner, the issues of citizenship, national question and the so-called monolithic north . Professor Adam Ahmed is from minority tribe of Ebira in Kogi state. Therefore, I see nothing that disqualified him to be the provost of N.D.A on merit for someone from the same Kano state as Minister of Defence who never participated in the interview for the position. If we are indeed the same citizens in the same country with equal rights, these glaring injustice and nepotism should be reversed else ,it is going to be a reference point in our discourses on citizenship, monolithic north and justice in Nigeria generally in the nearest future.

One of contestant who prefer not to be mentioned said that the renounce Prof Adam Okene Ahmed Abere is eminently qualified for the position as new NDA provost Kaduna. Said they were all surprised to have heard the name of someone who did not participated during the interview and screening process where the chairman of council in person of the minister of defence Major General Bashir Salihi Dagash (origin of Kano) was present, while the Prof Adam Ahmed Abere was expecting the appointment letter, only to heard Prof Isah Garba as the New Provost because he is from the same state of origin as minister of defence, he said.

By this revelation, nepotism played a major role in the appointment of the new provost. However, the new provost in question is not even qualify by years of experience and professorship and he didn't participate during interview and screening process.

The government of President Muhammadu Buhari need to look into the appointment and take the necessary measures for the purpose of oneness preach by this government.

While we pray for the Prof Adam Okene Ahmed Abere to continue to exercise his patients that Allah is the One that gives Power to who ever He will, he miracle is on the way. May Allah continue to bless and protect the eminent professor of renounce History in Africa.
