Honest Open Letter to the President by Dr Sultan Abaji Admin Gen of All Government Workers in Nigeria

OPEN LETTER TO HIS EXCELLENCY, PRESIDENT BOLA AHMED TINUBU (BAT)

Your Excellency,
Bola Ahmed Tinubu
President and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces
Federal Republic of Nigeria
Aso Rock Villa
Abuja.
His Excellency Sir,

With due respect and honour, I wish I have opportunity to discuss with you one on one but I tried, all my effort proof abortive, the Protocols of seeing a President is stressful, I opted for this method. This is my second open letter to you through the same avenue, I wouldn't know whether you saw the first one via social Media even though you don't read social media again, said by you. I believe in my mind that any good adviser or people close to you and want you to succeed would have informed you.

I am sorry for any inconveniences or breaches of due protocols deserving a President that this write-up may cause.

The disturbing issues of our dear Nation of whose stewardship Almighty Allah (God), in His Infinite Mercy, place on your shoulder.

Your Excellency Sir, during your campaign you promised Nigerian Workers a living wage, I don't know what change your mind, nevertheless all things been equal.

The following issues need to be looked into as a matter of urgency to avoid dent of your image to the general populars

1. The Minimum Wage you later decided to give your children, people around you are trying to sabotage it. In the history of Minimum Wage increments, it has never heard where flat rate were added irrespective of level.

2. Wage Award which you promised to pay as a result of fuel subsidy removal to alleviate the suffering of your children, 5 months are been owned as am writing on 8th November 2024.

3. 25% percentage increments for different Salary structures, on the 1st May, 2024 announced by you, your Excellency Sir, Federal Workers are still waiting for 5 months arrears, and FTI staff waiting for 1 year arrears.

4. Some Generating agency Minimum Wage are yet to be implemented let alone the arrears, FIRS, NCAA, FAAN, NAMA, Custom etc

5. Masses are suffering, goods and services increase on daily bases. Some families can no longer afford even two (2) meals per day let alone nutrition.

6. N-Power has been stopped and market women cash transfer has also been stopped, if anyone is telling you otherwise, the person is not been fair to you and your administration.

Your Excellency Sir, Money got into circulation through the Salary payment to Civil and Public Servants and of cause contractors. The common man who is not earning monthly salaries is also looking up to you.
Your Excellency Sir, the inflation in the prices of essential commodities has gone beyond the predictions, explanations, laws and theories of macro and microeconomics. The hike in prices has become a norm to the extent that almost every day, no one is certain to buy what he/she bought some few hours ago not to talk of a day or more.

Things are really hard for the common man, Your Excellency Sir, I don't want to bug you much with lengthy write up in my second open letter.
 *RECOMMENDATION*

Your Excellency Sir, Solution to the above are as follows;

1. Payment of all outstanding arrears, One month minimum wages arrears for those that has been implemented and implement for those that are yet to enjoy it, as mentioned above (NCAA, Custom, FIRS FAAN, NAMA etc).

2. Payment 5 months Wage Awards arrears from March to July, 2024.

3. Payment of 25% and 35% arrears across salary structure as mentioned above.

4. Payment of N-Power and Market women cash transfer should as matter of urgency kick start.

5. Prompt payment of Pension and gratuity to our retired service men and women who served this great nation honourably and retired after 60 years of age.

I Control over 7,500 Workers across the Nation (Federal, states and local Government) who are members of All Government Workers in Nigeria (AGWN WhatsApp platform) as the Admin Gen of AGWN platform. I read their complaint on daily bases.

Your Excellency Sir,
Nigerian are not asking for too much. If an average Nigerian can put food on the table for his/her family, pay essential bills, they are contended.

Accept the advice and forget about the adviser.

Take these recommendations as a matter of urgency.

  7. Dr,Abaji, you have done a good job as an Admin, may God Almighty be with you, the hardship that Nigerian workers and Nigeria s are going through today would have been alleviated if our NLC leaders are not tools in the hand of the government ,they allowed themselves to be used as a vehicle of injustice to the workers ,they allow themselves to be tricked ,cajoled ,and brainwashed by the sweet talking of the government and it's representatives,
Though,I commend them for the negotiations and arrival at the minimum wage But to get did nit take action wen they suppose to take action .
Sir, you were in this country wen Oshiomole was a Labour leader, he proved himself as a man worthy to hold the office .
The moment the president said " Subsidy is gone" without even entering his office , without any means to reduce the impact to the masses dat wed wen Labour suppose to strike immediately.
From less dn 200 to 500 plus per liter ,see the poverty gap to the masses , everything goes up immediately n salary remains d same for many months
We negotiations started ,labour was tricked by the president dat if labour was instisting on 250k dat he would raise fuel price based on this labour accepted 70k accoding to Ajero, upon the acceptance of 70k president raised fuel price contrary to tthe agreement they entered , what was Labour reaction then ?. instead of them to react fire for fire they only make noise n to price has been going up nearly everyday .
Sir, you have tried but the bulk of it still lying with Labour .

  8. Dr.Abaji, your voice is loud and clear, but I must say that I am afraid that you are beating a dead horse, this man might be a good man that wants to keep his promises but without good advisers and people who are working for his successful leadership, they're planning against him and looting the Treasury, they're covering his face with lies which I know that he may never find out unless someone else wakes him up, it may take Nigeria a hundred years to recover from what this president is doing, and they are doing it with impunity and so much unconcerned attitudes showcasing rudeness and hatred to Nigerians, writings in this ways will only get to the wrong people who are bent on suffocating Nigeria, find a way of getting close to the NLC/TUC and sale the ideas to them, particularly fighting against ongoing poverty policies and slowly sucking of blood of civil servants to the point that civil servants can't pay for a child in any good school, can't buy a bike or even boast of what to eat per day, labour leaders should not keep quiet before this gets roots. I am sorry if I sounded rude, it is because of harsh and rude policies we are facing, even Mr president acknowledges this conditions but refuse to approach it with human face. Thanks
