On Monday 25th July 2022, Prof Adam Okene Ahmed was awarded another prestigious Fellow by Association of Nigeria Public Administrators (FANPA) at the
Vera Gold Hotel, Public Institute of Nigeria, Dutse Alhaji Junction Abuja.
Though the Provost of NDC was represented by Prof Adam Abdullahi, Head of Dept of Defence & Security Studies of the Defence Postgraduate University, the Chairman, Board of Trustee of the Association, Prof Kamal noted that Prof Okene Ahmed represents one of the best in the academia in Nigeria due to his scholarly and administrative reach globally and domestically.
In his rich abridged CV read at the Occasion, Prof AO Ahmed was the Head of Department to History & War Studies, the Dean, Postgraduate School and Director Directorate of Linkages & Collaboration all of the Nigerian Defence Academy Kaduna, Member of the Presidential Research Team, Presidential Police Reform Committee and Chair of EX Team of the Federal Government NEEDS Assessment of the Nigerian Universities.
A professor of Security History, Conflict Resolution & Middle East Studies, Prof Okene Ahmed had led academic benchmarking to the US, UK, South Africa and Malaysia among others. The award was occasioned by an International Conference on Reinventing Public Administration for Sustainable Development in Nigeria. Notable professors of Public Administration delivered papers; Prof Sylvester Banji Fajonyomi of Lagos State Univ Ojo- Lagos, Prof Paul Mbaya of University of Maiduguri and Prof Ngozi Ewuim of Nnamdi Azikwe Univ Awka, Anambra State.
