Map of North-East in Red

As the analysis of Presidency in Nigeria, there have never be a time where North-Eastern part of the country head the presidency therefore North-Eastern deserved to be the President of Nigeria.

Less I forget someone will definitely point out Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa who was the first Prime Minister was from North-East when the  Colonial Master hand over power,

The writer is not an ignorant to that fact but what the article is analysing here is President because we are presently practicing Presidential system of government not parliamentary system of government.

However. Even if it has to be counted among that means North-East only ruler Nigeria once just like South-South. While other regions has either twice or more.

For the sake of Justice, Equity and Fairness North-Eastern part of Nigeria should be given a chance and because it has been long overdue.

However. Let look at the analysis:

1963_ 1966 (2 years, 104 days) South-East President Nnamdi Azikiwe

1966 (194 days)South-East  Major General Aguiyi-Ironsi

1966_ 1975 (8 years 362 days)North-Central General Yakubu Gowon

1976_ 1977 (199 days)North-West General Murtal Muhammad Ramat

1977_ 1979 3 years. 258 days)South-West General Olusegun Obasanjo

1979_ 1983 (4 years 91 days) North-West Alhaji Shehu Shagari

1983_ 1985 (1 years, 239 days) North-West General Muhammadu Buhari

1985_ 1993 (7 years, 364 days) North-Central General Ibrahim Badamasi Babandiga

1993 (83 days)South-West Chief Arnest Shonikan

1993_ 1998 (4 years. 203 days)  North-West General Sani Abacha

1998_ 1999 (355 days) North-Central General Abubakar Andulsalam

1999_ 2007 (8 years) South-West President Olusegun Obasanjo (OBJ)

2007_ 2010 (2 years, 342 days) North-West Umaru Musa Yaradua

2010_ 2015 (5 years. 25 days) South-South Dr Goodluck Ebere Johnathan (GEJ)

2015 to date (6 years and still counting)North-West President Muhammadu Buhari (PMB)

Going by the forgone analysis NO regional states that has not occupied the presidency of this country at least twice apart of South-South and the region that has not occupied at all or once as the case maybe is North-East.

South-East has tasted the power of presidency as the head of the government twice, South-West thrice, North-Central thrice, North-West 6 times South-South once and North-East non or once as the case maybe.

For Justice, Equity and Fairness, North-East deserved to be the president of Nigeria come 2023.

May Almighty Allah in His Infinite Mercy see us through the next election come 2023. Noth-East need to be considered for Justice, Equity, and Fairness
